'99-'00 Honda Civic Si Or Ap1 Honda S2000?
I have been asking a couple questions about cars lately. i 'm a college student and work, so either car i will be driving to school and work everyday. as of now, my job is close, but i may get another job but is much farther away. on top of that i wanted to drive the car to tracks like button willow, since i live in san diego, it will be a couple hours long day. i know with all the abuse on the car i 'm going to be having a ridiculous maintenance cost compared to others. this is the deal, this would be my first car, and i 'm not exactly a master mechanic. i am also complete beginner to high performance driving events. i really want the ap1 but i suppose in my situation i 'm better off with the si. what i want to know is if the maintenance cost and difficulty of working on the engine a lot higher than the si, or is it slightly noticeable but a good enough trade off for the fun the ap1 is known for. (i know i will not be too comfortable after a while because i 'm 6 '2 " but luxury and creature comfort is really not my main concern). thank you for any info (: (Read answers)

I 'm going to get an s2k soon and i 'm a big fan of the all red interiors, i saw a few great examples at honda day this year. i 'm just wondering where i can get a list or if anybody knows, which exterior colors (grand prix white/ silver/ red/ black...etc) came with which interior colors (black/ red & black/ all red...etc). i just want a list of the factory color combinations and options for both the ap1 and ap2, for which interior color scheme goes with which exterior color and what years they were offered. thanks in advance! Looking into the honda s2000, and i really like this car. i love the way it looks, and the way it drives. however, i do not like the fact that it is a convertible. now i know that there is a gt version of the s2k that did have a removable hardtop roof. i did not come across such a version in the us though.so my question: how hard would it be to install the stock hardtop roof on a convertible s2k with the cloth roof? or maybe this model with the hardtop is available in the us? would really help if i got a decent answer! all attached links and/ or info pages would be awesome! thanks in advance!gt - version sold in the uk with the honda-official removable roof. 2003 Mazda Miata Or 2000 Honda S2000?
I know this question is asked in one form or another but here is where the rubber meets th*is shot*...okay i 'm back. anyway, i have a budget of $10,000 for a reliable but fun car that will last me through college. after some searching the two at the top of my list are a 2003 mazda miata with about 63k miles and a 2000 honda s2000 with about 85k miles. my friend has a 1995 miata and i love it to pieces, i could definitely deal with the small size and stiff ride for the sheer driving enjoyment. the main factor is reliability. i need to know if either of these cars is prone to get the gremlins as once i 'm in college i 'll be on a fixed budget until summer. i know every car is different, but i 'm going by ballpark. which would be the better, more reliable purchase?
